Recertification is the process of renewing pesticide certification. This may be accomplished by either of two methods:
The credit hour requirements for recertification vary, depending on the type of license held. The credit requirements are given below:
Private applicators must accumulate a total of sixteen (16) credit hours during their certification period: four (4) of these hours must be "Core" training and twelve (12) can be "other" ODA-accredited training. No more than eight (8) credit hours (including "Core") may be accumulated in any one calendar year (January 1-December 31). Credit hour accumulation may begin after the license is issued.
Pesticide consultants, public pesticide applicators, and commercial pesticide applicators must accumulate a total of forty (40) credit hours during their certification period. Training may include Core programs, however, no more than fifteen (15) credit hours may be accumulated in any one calendar year (January 1-December 31). Credit hour accumulation may begin after the license is issued.
